Mr. Rezbach has completed an apprenticeship as cabinetmaker and has studied wood technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Rosenheim. He added a degree in economics and business administration from the FH Pforzheim and an MBA in Birmingham/England. In 1987 he joined a consulting company where he was later promoted to member of the board and partner. 

In 2003 he founded Lignum Consulting.

He is active in several industry committees. He is for example member of the industry advisory committee at the Hochschule Rosenheim, founder advisory board and member of the Netzwerk Holzindustrie BW and Senator of Economy Germany.
