Recognizing conflict situations at an early planning stage
RESULTS
Increased planning security
Avoiding the cost of planning errors
CURRENT SITUATION
Straight two-dimensional layout planning was previously considered the standard and fastest way to plan your own production and work areas.
In most cases an existing two-dimensional layout is the basis for expansion and replanning.
Limiting the planning to 2 dimensions holds many risks especially in older buildings. Interconnected machine and plant components as well as supply and disposal lines are often spatially limited.
Planning errors can be difficult to detect in two-dimensional representations and are usually not identified until the implementation phase. In this late phase, the costs resulting from these errors are typically significantly higher.
APPROACH
A comprehensive 3D planning process up to a consistent digital and BIM-compliant plan is possible, but not necessarily useful in all situations.
Especially for planning in existing buildings, Lignum Consulting uses intuitive modeling software to recreate individual and unique work and building situations in three-dimensional form,in a flexible and expedient process.
Collisions can then be identified in the early planning phases. Communication between your own team and machine suppliers is improved. The description of interfaces and communication are also improved. Accordingly, the overall quality of planning is increased and project implementation time is shortened.
We also facilitate the presentation options by introducing VR and AR-supporting media.
