Lignum Consulting presented the Industry 4.0 topic to the Canadian woodworking and furniture industry during the WMS 2015 show in Toronto.
In the keynote speech, during the opening event of the WMS conference, Georg Frey and Sepp Gmeiner presented the concept of Industry 4.0 and how the concept applies to wood industry factory automation.
Getting companies ready to take advantage of this new initiative was also the main topic of the talks during the fair at the Lignum Consulting booth. What benefits will it bring, what internal preparation needs to be done, and which is the best sequence of steps for advancing the business towards faster, leaner and more flexible production – these questions were discussed amongst producers, suppliers and industry network partners.
The WMS 2015 presented itself this year with growing numbers of exhibitors and attendees, which portrayed the positive outlook of the Canadian wood and furniture-manufacturers.
