APPROACH
- Definition of a pilot workplace for the implementation of the 5S workplace method:
- Sorting out old and surplus stocks
- Systematization via floor markings, floor signs and work equipment labels.
- Cleaning and organizing the pilot workstation in the basic training.
- Designing standards - color concept, transport carts, floor signs and walkway markings.
- Implementation of a CIP board with weekly consultations on the shop floor to ensure compliance with standards (self-discipline).
- “Train-the-trainer” approach: Basic training from the division management to the LEAN coordinator to the employees on the shop floor.
- Increase in value-adding time by implementing an intralogistics specialist.
- Implementation of the conceptual content with the division managers and employees:
- Consumables in the right quantity and close to the point of consumption.
- Work content recorded - analyzed - rearranged to a levelled customer cycle.
- Bottlenecks analyzed - conceptually optimized - jointly implemented and tested on site.
- Introduction of weekly audits of the LEAN coordinator (duration = 20min) via defined checklists via tablet.
